Pranamaya Goes to India

Big News #1: We're announcing the official release tomorrow of The Secret Power of Yoga 6-CD audiobook by Nischala Joy Devi. This is 8th title that we've released in the last thirteen months. Amazing, if we do say so ourselves!

And that leads us to

Big News #2: Pranamaya goes to India!

After thirteen months rarely leaving our computers, we're heading halfway around the world to recharge our batteries and regain some perspective on life, yoga and our little company.

We'll be bringing our video cameras to document our travels and to interview some of the swamis and scholars that we plan to meet with. If all goes well, you'll see some of this footage in future Pranamaya projects.

Check back here for occasional updates from India, including as many photos as we can. Please leave us comments. We would love to hear from you.

Namaste,
Mark and Ian

hey mark!

i'm so looking forward to reading about your travels and impressions. spoke with lenka the other day - v. happy to hear her again! - and she sounded superexcited.

my trip to india last fall was amazing. if you do get the chance to get to chennai and study with sri mohan and his wife indra, do so!

it was a very special and very profound experience. and not just for myself. the entire bunch of people was amazing and we had some lovely dynamics going on in the group. the mohans are extremely
knowledgeable, yet accessible and loving, both are inspiring and both continue to study themselves. it was a truly demystifying journey. lost of stuff that one reads about or being taught in the west stripped of its new-agey glitz and sweet sweet deep deep oh-so-mysterious meaning;-) (including some immensely interesting stuff we learned about sri krishnamacharya) and most of it was based on constant breath awareness, throughout the entire
practice, including meditation with a mantra.

mohanji is the kind of a teacher who can see almost immediately where your limits are - and not just physical - and if you're open and if you're willing and ready to go, he puts you up against just about any of them - but safely, without intimidation or feeling threatened.

he seems to find a real challenge for all those who are keen on going deeper and is wise enough to leave those who are not ready with enough work in their comfort zones...i've learned so much over the 6 weeks of the course - and not just information. much of it was experiential, stuff that happened inside on the basis of what we heard and tried - sort of visceral knowledge, bypassing and surpassing the intellect (which has always been a big deal for me - the greatest struggle, to be quite frank! well, guess this is no surprise to most people who know me
but there you go:)

god, this is a loooooong comment. better cut it short and go do something useful;-)

can't wait to read your blog posts about your trip!

stay well and travel safe! greetings to ian as well!

hugs, lucie xxx
